White House Studies is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal of interdisciplinary scholarship and commentary on White House history and politics as well as on the presidents and presidential spouses.


The Editorial Board is comprised of respected scholars from diverse backgrounds in academia, public service, and institute administration, representing such disciplines as political science, history and communications.

All articles are peer-reviewed.

Attention is devoted to current issues and cutting-edge research on presidential politics and history, as well as facets of White House social and family life that are frequently omitted from mainstream scholarship and other journals.

Regular “features” in each issue of the journal devoted to the rooms, history, and events of the White House, presidential sites, and profiles of present and former residents of the White House.
